Repsol Electra 3 is a light mineral oil for electrical appliances, carefully refined, unexposed to inhibition, characterized by its outstanding dielectric properties. It is also particularly resistant to wear resulting from oxidization (i.e. the creation of acids and sediments) and, because of its low viscosity, it circulates easily and ensures an efficient transfer of heat. The product is obtained from deeply refined base components, with no paraffin forms or solid substances precipitating in low temperatures. The lack of moisture ensures a rigorous production and packaging process.
The Electra 3 oil is recommended as an insulation fluid for transformers, alternators, rheostats, etc.. In general, it my be used with any electrical appliances requiring liquids of the following qualities:
- cooling agent, to disperse the heat generated in operation
- dielectric, to insulate the winding and conductors
- hardening liquid, to avoid sparks and arches between the contacts.
The product is characterized by:
- a high dielectric insulation power,
- low dielectric loss (Tg),
- lack of moisture and solid bodies in the suspension,
- minimized sedimentation throughout its operation,
- low aroma volume,
- a complete lack of PCB and PCT.
The Electra 3 transformer oil is accordant with the following standards:
- UNE EN 60296:2004
- BS-148 Class II (without inhibition)
- IEC 60296:2004. Type U (without inhibition)
- ASTM-D-3487 Type I
